About me
I am an experienced Exercise Physiologist working within the public mental health sector across various sites in Melbourne's Northern suburbs.
I have a background in diabetes care, as well as being an AEP, I am a Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) and I enjoy combining my strong knowledge of chronic disease management with my health and behaviour change skills to create positive change for the cohort we are working with.
My experience
I started my career working in Primary care in the top end of Australia in Darwin, NT. I have 4 years of experience working in primary care settings as both an Exercise Physiologist and Credentialled Diabetes Educator.
I then made a transition to working in the public mental health space sector with Northern Health - Mental Health Division (formally NWAMHS, a part of RMH) where I have been working for the last 3 years. I have worked with the goal of growing the demand for Exercise Physiologists across the Mental Health division.
I have worked in roles across 6 different Areas of the service including IPUs, CCU/Parc and within community teams. I recently moved into a Clinical Educator role and have been working both clinically and as a member of the education team providing guidance to entry level clinicians.
My current role/work
Currently I am employed as both a Clinical Educator and Senior Clinician at Northern Health - Mental Health division.
I am working across, two acute inpatient psychiatric units and a Community care unit whilst supporting a asmall team including 3 full time EPs.
My training
I have completed supervision training withing Northern Health and through the Bouverie centre.
I have attended recent equally well symposiums and regularly attend PD events.
